Thomas Michael Rubick

Thomas Michael Rubick was a painter and illustrator/designer with over 30 years of professional experience.

 

A graduate of California State University at Long Beach (BA), and Kent State University (MFA), he co-founded Rubick & Funk Graphic Design in Eugene, Oregon.  He taught as an adjunct at the University of Oregon for five years, and in the Art Department at lane Community College for 21.

 

From 1988 to 2007 he was the Coordinator of the Graphic Design Program at Lane Community College.

 

Thomas passed away in July, 2009.  He wrote his own obituary, included here below, which not only tells his personal story, but will give you a sense of how witty, creative and tender hearted he was.
